Fluff

April- 28-2014

We are now anchored in Yacht Heaven Grand. There are three cruise ships moored at the dock, throwing smoke exhaust. The captain sleeps, I hear his snoring from time to time. In the last days he has slept a lot, but he deserves it, during the last week in Puerto Rico, he led the caravan all the time, trying to find the best entertainment, the exotic places of the island and the most original people, and as usual, he succeeded.

I looks like the wind has changed direction, the smoke has become vicious inside the boat, I hope the cruise ships will leave soon. Two days ago we arrived from Vieques, which is part of Puerto Rico. We spent two days in Honey Moon Bay; where at night the wind died down and Jim had to pull the anchor a bit to avoid breathing the the smoke from the boat on front of us; that kept the generator on all day. And in the morning put more chain out to avoid colliding with another boat we had to starboard.

Today ... I am somewhat accelerated, my mind goes faster than my fingers, the reason? Fluff. JMR is missing his home, yesterday at the Dinghy Bar, in Honey Moon Bay, they had a special of fried chicken with mashed potatoes and greens collars, very typical Southern food, he bought half of a chicken; and boy, how gladly he ate it (I did helped). This morning we went to Crown Bay Marina. Before entering Gourmet Gallery, the market, we went to have breakfast. Again Jim saw something on the menu that brought memories back from home: Grits and turkey hash potatoes. Then, in the market, he found another thing to put the lid on the jar (as we say in Cuba), Fluff, and that, for those unfamiliar, is egg white and sugar, yes, canned meringue. I had never tasted peanut butter fluff, and to be honest I prefer to separate the two of them. Now, the captain is sound asleep and I'm fast and furious, because the sugar and caffeine affect me a lot. Ah! My chamomile tea is ready, maybe that will help me, and I can concentrate on our trip to Culebra, Puerto Rico and Vieques.
